Because We Started Liberty

Because We Started Liberty

Because We Started Liberty

Because of our Founder’s desire for liberty, slavery came here to die. A bold statement? Perhaps. The British owned slaves. We owned slaves. But when our country began with the premise that “All Men are Created Equal”, and the “Don’t Tread on Me” notification was sent to the King of England, less than a century later, slavery was abolished. After thousands of years of slavery running absolutely unchecked with all kinds of people owning all other kinds of other people, thousands of years after, in less than a century, slavery was abolished in this country.

John and Andy provided a history lesson to correct an incident involving a teacher’s lack of historical knowledge of the Gadsden flag. They rectified misconceptions, shed light on the significance of “Don’t Tread on Me!” and highlighted how accurate historical understanding is needed in today’s educational institutions. Take a listen as John and Andy connect the dots from the past to the present.

Rush To Reason with John Rush & Andy Peth

“But can I say really quick why I tied it into the foundations of our country? Because these educators, when they attack the Tea Party, they’re not really attacking the Tea Party or the right-wing. What they’re attacking is the foundations of this country. Because the Tea Party loves the foundations of this country. And so what their response from the left is the foundations of this country were racist. Okay. And therefore, your flag, which represents, let’s face it, the Tea Party, obviously because of what they’re drawing on your flag is racist because the Tea Party loves the foundations of this country, which were racist. And what I’m saying is the foundations of this country were actually common to the entire world at that time and led us out of that world to where there is no slavery.” – Andy Peth

“It’s the one thing the liberals always forget is the things that this country has done through its Judeo-Christian roots and capitalism along with it, which I know everybody [The political Left] wants to kill. … Between those two things is why the whole world is lifted up and in better shape today than it was even a hundred years ago.” – John Rush

In Defense of Capitalism

In Defense of Capitalism

In Defense of Capitalism

Are Americans critical of capitalism? A new global comparison reveals they’re not. A survey on attitudes toward capitalism in 33 countries shows Poland is the most pro-capitalist country, with the USA in second place.

It’s no wonder Poland ranked in the number one position because Poland was one of the poorest countries in Europe in its socialist time, even poorer than Ukraine. The GDP per capita was half of the Czech Republic, and the standard of living in Poland has dramatically increased due to capitalism.

The United States came number two. We often hear people in the United States today are against capitalism, but this is not true. Of course, there are a lot of anti-capitalists, but it’s not the majority of the population.

However, there is a vast difference between older and younger Americans. Older Americans over 60 are pro-entrepreneurship, pro-free market, and pro-capitalism. Younger Americans under 30 are much more critical; some are very negative toward capitalism.

The job at hand is to demonstrate and make it clear to young people why capitalism is a better system than socialism. Listen and share this interview and the documentary Life Behind the Berlin Wall to clarify how capitalism can generate a tide that lifts all boats.

Rainer Zitelmann, the author of In Defense of Capitalism, joined John Rush and gave insights on how to promote economic freedom in the United States.

How the Left Attacks and Their Tactics to Dismantle America

How the Left Attacks and Their Tactics to Dismantle America

How the Left Attacks and Their Tactics to Dismantle America

In the old days, didn’t we have colleges that prepared you for the real world and not shield you from it? Well, Not any longer.

Now we’re using tax dollars to shield people from the real world that we were supposed to be training them for.

So if you or someone you know is affected by a free speech event on the campus of Colorado State University, here are some resources paid for by the taxpayers of Colorado to help you deal with reality or that special someone who might not agree with you.

The conversation with John, Andy, and Jersey Joe segued into Biden’s proclamation that he’s going to pick a black female for the next Supreme Court.  “And it’s sad. Imagine how that’s going to taint that person if he goes ahead with it. Oh, yes. Well, she got the job because she was black and female, as opposed to we’re going to nominate the most qualified person.” – Andy Peth.

Then Jersey Joe sent in tweet with some questions/answers attached to John by Congresswoman Cori Bush on who should be the next Supreme Court justice. John continued to expose the left.

Take a listen and find out what the hardcore leftists are doing to the young adults at CSU and how they continue to divide people throughout our nation.

Cori Bush Has It Wrong

Congresswoman Cori Bush (D-MO)

“If you side with Cori Bush you are against the Constitution. …  You’re just like her.  You’re a communist too.” – John Rush

John’s full comments here.

Jersey Joe: Supreme Court justices are charged with only one responsibility and that single responsibility is to determine if a law, policy or practice is Constitutional or not, and NOT if said law, policy or practice is “Fair” or “Just”.   In case you haven’t yet figured out the answer to the question “What is wrong with her tweet?”, the answer is NONE OF THOSE THINGS should ever be taken into account when determining if a law is Constitutional or not! It is not unheard of for the Court to rule that a law is Constitutional but to note in their opinion that they consider it to be a bad law that should be addressed and changed by the responsible legislative body. An example of this principle is illustrated by the response attributed to Supreme Court Judge Oliver Wendell Holmes who, in response to a pleading by a young attorney who kept insisting that he had come before the court seeking justice for his client, Holmes replied: “This is a court of law young man, not a court of justice!”

Covid and the Loss of Common Sense

Covid and the Loss of Common Sense

John is Right

With his no curveball, giving it to you straight commentary, John Rush, throughout Wednesday’s show (01/26/22) talked about three different articles related to covid and pointed out how a vaccine is creating two different classes of people. Between the public school system, the lack of common sense, and the tyranny of the Blue States, John tied it all together.

The News Articles

South Carolina Bill Illegal to ask vaccination status.

“Republican lawmakers in South Carolina introduced legislation to make it illegal for employers to ask about coronavirus vaccination status, saying it’s private medical information.”

I’m Done With Masks

“Who knew that little pieces of plastic or cloth worn over the nose and mouth could turn people into complete idiots? Masks have led us astray since the first days of the COVID-19 pandemic.” Opinion piece by David Mastio, USA TODAY. Article here

California School District Treats COVID Exposed Children Like Lepers

“Her daughter was harassed this week for being exposed to COVID and forced to quarantine for five days, even though she consistently tests negative. A negative test is not sufficient in the eyes of the school district and the LA Department of Health.” Article here.

The Government’s Game of Covid. Who’s Scared and Who’s Not?

And I’m still one to say that this is a biological weapon being used by China and Fauci both together. I believe it hadn’t been completely developed and finished yet, but whether it was released on purpose or not, I have no idea. But once it was, yes, they weaponized it fully.

Over the last year and a half, this country has gone from an incredible economy with an incredibly successful President to that of a living hell. Our country has been destroyed, and the tool the left has used is covid.

Andy asked John what has surprised him the most over the last year and a half.

John’s response, “How willing, especially young people, have been to just give it all up if you would. I mean, they are so worried about being safe. They’re willing to lock themselves in a closet and hand the government the key almost to that extent and say, Please protect me. … I’m shocked at how young people, especially young families, even have been so willing to give up their freedom.”

Andy replied, “Okay, let me jump in on that because we are seeing with young people who are at no risk, virtually no risk unless you are immune deficient. Okay, young people are at no risk whatsoever. They’re the first to wear masks. They are the first to turn people in. They are the first to complain. They’re the first [ to get] vaccinations. Whatever they can do. As you said, they’re complete sheep. So here’s my question, “Have you ever seen a more vibrant example of the absolute control that education and entertainment have over our kids?”

John, “No, this is it. You are literally programming. You are literally programming tens of millions of safe people to act in terror.

Andy, “And you know me. I was brought up by the academic left. I know how they control young people. I know how they do it. I even have been shocked.”

Five red flags that signal your preschooler may need extra help catching up. An interview with veteran educator and language pathologist Holly De Leon.

www.animalisland.us

Developmental Red Flags for Preschoolers

Speech delay:  If a parent says “Oh, here’s a ball,” the child should be able to say “ball”, even though they might not say a full sentence. And it should sound somewhat similar to what the parent says.  But if what the child says is unrecognizable, then that’s a problem.

Language delay:  Very low vocabulary skills. The child has very few descriptors. So, even if the child knows the word “ball”, the child will not be able to say “big red ball” because they don’t have those descriptors.  When the child should be speaking in 6-, 7- and 8-word sentences, these children will be speaking in 2 or 3-word utterances.

Inability to hold multiple tasks in memory:  Is the child unable to remember and carry out a command containing multiple tasks?

Pattern non-recognition: “Circle, square, circle, square, circle… If the child cannot say what comes next that’s a red flag.

Insufficient word exposure:  In their developmental years, children need to hear about 21,000 words each day being spoken and used in sentences by family, teachers, and other sources such as computer-assisted teaching aids in the home and in the classroom.
