America’s Money Answerman

Jordan Goodman: Website

  1. State of the hard and soft infrastructure bills now that Joe Manchin says he will not support the $3.5 Trillion soft infrastructure bill as it is written now. The Democrats are proposing to raise taxes on companies and individuals since the details came out yesterday from Ways and Means.
  2. Apple introducing its new iPhones and watches today so we can go over what is new there.
  3. American employment situation with over 11 million unfilled jobs and weaker than expected jobs created in August and extra unemployment benefits have now fully expired. I can refer people to resources at moneyanswers.com to get the skills people need for the jobs that are going begging. Also, the moratorium on rental evictions continues though it is being challenged in court.
  4. Changes coming in China where they are promoting “shared prosperity” and “civilized internet” as ways to take money from billionaires and increase online control and censorship.
  5. Sharp rise in inflation with PPI up over 8% at an annual rate and what the Federal Reserve will (or will not) do about it.

Let me see those tax returns! Cut taxes on the middle class??? A family with 2 kids under 17 making $61,372 a year pays $8.50 a month in taxes. You can’t cut taxes for people who are not paying taxes. More net takers than net makers. Inflation’s appetite.
