Renewable Gas Within the Trucking Industry

Mike Kucharski is the Co-Owner and Vice President of JKC Trucking and he joined John and Andy to talk about the increasing importance of renewable gas within the trucking industry, and whether this could be the most environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and most abundant form of energy to power the future of trucking.

Things to Note:
*Government clean air mandates and corporations becoming more focused on environmentally friendly energy solutions have fueled advocates for renewable natural gas (RNG). It converts various forms of waste into clean, practically limitless fuel.
*The use of RNG as a transportation fuel has increased 267% over the past 5 years. In 2020 alone, 53% of all on-road fuel used in natural gas-powered vehicles was RNG.
*Major trucking fleets have been switching to trucks powered by clean natural gas. In 2020, UPS began a multi-year commitment to add 6,000 CNG-powered trucks to its fleet.
