After a successful national event in Nashville last month\, BEST has traveled across the country to continue supporting\, educating\, and\, most importantly\, bringing together parents and other groups who wish to see a positive change in our nation’s education system. Laura Zorc\, FreedomWorks Director of Education Reform\, commented: “The goal of BEST is to unite coalitions of parents from across the country to fight for our children. Parents are the only force strong enough to stand up to teacher’s unions\, fully reopen schools\, and ensure that their children have the best education possible. “Parents should be the final authority on their children’s education. This grassroots movement is about reminding teachers’ unions and power-hungry bureaucrats that the behavior they’ve exhibited throughout the lockdowns will no longer be tolerated. BEST plans to train and recruit parents to be advocates and run for school board positions in their local communities so that they can be changemakers\, reject anti-American curricula and critical race theory\, and take a definitive stand against a school system that continually chooses to put politics ahead of the needs of children.” BEST Tour Spring Leg: \nApril 5– Palm Beach\, FLApril 14– Roswell\, GAApril 14– Duluth\, GAApril 15– Columbus\, GAApril 24– Portland\, OR April 30– Orlando\, FLMay 1– Fuquay Varina\, NCMay 2– Jacksonville\, NCMay 3– Polk County\, NCMay 10– Vero Beach\, FLMay 11– Stuart\, FLMay 12– San Antonio\, TXMay 14– Dallas\, TXMay 17– Pittsburgh\, PAMay 20– Scottsdale\, AZMay 22– Peoria\, AZMay 25– Phoenix\, AZMay 27th– Orlando\, FL \nSummer Leg: \nJune 11–Harrisonburg\, PAJune 14th– Medina\, OHJune 15– Delaware\, OHJune 18– Concord\, NHJune 19– Gilford\, NHAugust 4– Atlanta\, GAAugust 10– Scottsdale\, AZ \nTo find out more about BEST\, visit the website here: https://parentsknowbest.com/ \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Hour 3 SoundCloud \n \n \n \n \n \n Fighting Lockdowns\nJohn Marriott is fighting lockdowns at the City Council level. Dennis talked about Why Iran is doing what it’s doing relative to Hamas and the larger conflict. Iran\, as we know\, used to be the Persian Empire. The Persians are not Arabs. The Arab world has been in opposition to the Persian Empire for centuries. It’s been kind of a cold war that’s heating up now. Israel is making peace with a number of Sunni Arab Nations as we know the Abraham Accords. They’re building kind of a Sunni block against Iranian influence in the Middle East. There’s this belief in Islam with an attack on one Muslim is an attack on all of Islam. Surah two\, verse 190 requires Muslims to attack those that attack Islam. Iran can then equip Hamas to attack Israel and Israel responds as they must and should. Then Iran can call that an attack on the Muslim world\, hopefully marshaling the entire Muslim world together against Iran and defeating Israel’s peace agreements with the Sunni Nations that are preventing Iranian expansion in the Middle East… \nListen to the full interview here. John explained the monetization of a YouTube channel. Were people happier before social media? Are we living in fakeness through social media?  Rachel’s Channel on Telegram and as she said\, “It’s total free speech”.   Listen here.  Mobile users begin at 14:33 \n  \nPhotos John was talking about that the Facebook Fact-Checkers didn’t like \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ken Buck and Big Tech\nCommentary highlights:  \nRachel on the phone with her dad and he says\, “What’s going with your congressman? He voted to keep Liz Cheney in her leadership role.” \nRachel: which was very surprising to me.John: Liz Cheney\, she’s a wax job right off the deep end.Rachel: And she voted to impeach Trump. She’s everything wrong with the Republican Party\, basically. And so I have no idea why you would back that. This is a guy (Ken Buck) that wrote about draining the swamp\, and Liz Cheney is the swamp …  \nRachel: Breitbart put out an article recently about a bill that was introduced in initially championed by Democrats. And it was sold to Republicans like Ken Buck about taking on big Tech. But the deeper you go into this bill\, it actually allows greater collusion between big tech and media. It allows media organizations to form cartels that would otherwise be illegal under antitrust law for specific purpose of strengthening their hand in negotiations with tech Giants. So it’s like\, Let’s say a small newspaper wants to come out\, and it basically shuts down any kind of small media trying to make their way and allows big tech to team up with media and basically shut down anyone that’s attempting to speak up. And what’s crazy to me is McCarthy has come out and said that this bill is the antithesis of conservatism. Rep Jim Jordan said it just gives the media cartel-like power. And so my question is\, what is Buck doing? And then I’m hearing he’s taking money. He’s taking PAC money. That’s behind this. And it’s really\, really disappointing. So if I could get an explanation for that\, that would be great. Otherwise\, I think somebody that was anti swamp is becoming the swamp right in front of our eyes… \nJohn: And there’s some pretty well known\, as you said a moment ago\, Republican leaders that have opposed this. So I don’t have an answer. I’m not talking to Ken personally. I mean\, I’ve got a lot of respect for Ken or have had in the past and sat next to him at dinners and different things. And I do not have his answer on this. And I would be Let’s just say that I’m disappointed to read this. \nRachel: I think this is just such a touchy issue for me is because big tech and they’ve literally\, like\, ruined me. So anything that gives more power more. \nJohn: they need less power. So that’s why I said that all along. And I’ll continue to say that they need less. But first of all\, they need deplatformized they’re not platforms… \nListen to all of Rachel and John’s comments here. John Tamny brought on another perspective and how it wasn’t the young people who brought on this tragedy. Rachel brought up how there is no diverse thought or debate in the universities so they just “take it” from the CDC.  The conversation focused on the differences between generations and how covid has taken so much away from all of the generations.  Listen here for the full commentary. \n“Americans tend to vote republican when the Republicans act like Republicans\,” – John Tamny \n John Tamny is vice president at FreedomWorks and director of its Center for Economic Freedom. He’s also editor of RealClearMarkets\, and senior economic adviser to mutual fund firm Applied Finance Group. Well\, the main doctor there\, the one they call the bat scientist or the bat woman… wrote a paper that MIT scientists have looked at that they said was gain of function — meaning juicing up these viruses to make them very potent and infect humans. She wrote this paper and\, in the paper\, acknowledged her funding came from Dr. Fauci’s group\, the NIAID\, which is part of NIH. So\, he is verifiably telling you something that is not true.” \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nChatter about the Mask News from the CDC\nJohn and Rachel comment on personal responsiblity and “You do you and I’ll do me.” Mobile users begin at 20:12 \nAlready seeing a lot of chatter about the mask news from CDC that\, in essence\, goes like this: \n“Well\, how do we know that unvaccinated people won’t lie and opt not to wear a mask?” \nAnd the truth is… we don’t and we won’t. \nShould you care? No… (and maybe a little yes) \n— Chris Vanderveen (@chrisvanderveen) May 13\, 2021 \n\n\n\n \nJohn’s comments about his parents having covid: My folks ended up with Covid. Where did they catch it? I don’t know. And my mom struggled a little more than my dad did\, which is interesting because my dad’s had two rounds of chemo and colon cancer and all sorts of other things. You have thought that he had had a harder time with it than my mom. But he’s on this huge dose of vitamins that he’s on from a prescription for his eyes and other things that\, by the way\, are D and Zinc and vitamin C and I can go down the line. It’s interesting that he has a high dosage of that. And he basically had the sniffles. He hardly had it at all. And My folks are in their 80s. And it just goes to show you that even at their age\, they got it and still made it through. How America needs to be energy-independent. Derrick has gone to Congress four times to talk about energy poverty\, which occurs when individuals are unable to afford basic heating and electric needs. He conducted a National Poll by calling on Democrats\, Republicans\, Independents\, Conservatives\, Moderates\, and Liberals and found that over 80% of Americans believe that are energy independence is critical.  Energy independence was defined as not being reliant on foreign oil and gas.  In 2019\, for the first time\, America became energy-independent under the Trump administration. \nJohn and Derrick both commented on how Americans have been misled on using our own natural resources\, how thousands of products are made from oil\, and how fossil fuels lift up the entire world\, everybody benefits from it.  Derrick also remarked on how shutting down our energy resources here at home grows poverty in America. \nFrom Derrick’s article at TIPP Insights \nAmericans Agree: Energy Independence Is Critical\nAn overwhelming share of the public (81%) believes that it is critical to maintain U.S. energy independence and not rely on foreign oil. Such an agreement is exceedingly rare in a polarized country.  It is heartening to see Americans of all political stripes and ideologies embrace energy independence and reject reliance on foreign countries.  All parties and ideologies share the sentiment: \n\n83% of Democrats\n87% of Republicans\n81% of Independents\n87% of conservatives\n81% of moderates\n81% of liberals\n\nListen to the full interview here. This change will require apps to request permission before tracking user data. This will have substantial implications for both the user/consumer and the apps\, like Facebook\, that rely on tracking user activities. These changes will have a significant impact on large apps like Facebook and Google that depend on the tracking to send targeted ads to users. But Facebook\, also\, estimates that the new iOS may also cause small businesses to see a “60% cut in their sales for every dollar they spend in advertising”.  This is happening at the same time Facebook’s Oversight Board has upheld former President Donald Trump’s suspension from Facebook and Instagram for the next six months\, and he’s banned for life from Twitter.  Meanwhile\, the Trump team has launched its own communications platform through his website that helps his followers post Trump-originated content on their personal social platforms.
